J. Van Rose Jr., GRI, MIRM
President, Rose & Womble Enterprises & President, Rose & Womble New Homes
Van is a 1975 graduate of the Naval Academy, and has headed up Rose & Womble’s (formerly
Rose & Krueth) New Homes Division since it was created in 1985, fostering the phenomenal
growth of the division from representing nine builders in ten communities to its
current status of over 35 builders at more than 36 communities throughout southeastern
Virginia. He holds the CSM and GRI designations, and was admitted by the National
Association of Home Builders as a Member of the Institute of Residential Marketing
(MIRM) in 1993.
Van is actively involved in the industry. He is a charter member of the Building
Marketing Society, serves on the organization’s Board of Trustees, and was named
its 1991 Member of the Year. He has served as President of that organization for
the past 5 years. He is a member of the Tidewater Builders Association and has served
on its Board of Directors, the SMC Executive Committee, and other committees. Van
has also held committee posts at the former Tidewater Association of REALTORS®.
Over the years Van has been recognized by the National Association of Home Builders
for excellence. He has been selected as Region I Sales Manager of the Year at the
Maxsel Awards competition on three occasions. Van is a nationally recognized New
Homes sales & marketing and motivational speaker.
Dick Esleeck
Rose & Womble Enterprises
Born and raised in Portsmouth, VA and a resident of Hampton Roads his entire life,
Dick Esleeck brings over 26 years experience as an Independent Fee Appraiser serving
local banks and mortgage companies. A licensed real estate agent since 1984, he
has a wealth of knowledge in the industry.
Dick is a graduate of Furman University in Greenville S. C. He is very active in
his community, having served as the Past President of North Suffolk Rotary Club,
currently serves on the local YMCA Board and is active in his church.
Dick currently works on Land Acquisition and Development projects for Rose & Womble
Enterprises.
Cyndi Osborough, CSP
New Homes General Manager, Vice President Operations, Rose & Womble Enterprises
Cyndi had a 13 year career as one of Rose & Womble’s most successful new homes sales
associates. She brings this unique perspective to her work. Since joining the management
team in 2000, Cyndi has worked with our management team and builder clients. She
is extremely creative, organized and has a unique ability to handle her customer’s
needs in an effective and timely manner. Cyndi specialized in bringing new communities
“on-line”, plus special projects and events.
Cyndi was awarded the 2004 “Volunteer of the Year” award by the Hampton Roads Realtors
Association and has continued her service to that organization as the 2003-2004
Chair of the New Homes Council.
In her current position, she works directly with Van Rose focusing on new business
and land development; working with developers, builders, and land planning in the
creation of new communities, as well as overseeing the operation of the New Homes
Division.
Julia Diehl
New Homes Projects Coordinator
Before joining the company Julia owned and operated Sophisticatered, an event planning
/ catering company. She worked with numerous clients such as Rose & Womble, Stephen
Alexander Homes, Wermers Development and numerous individuals on developing and
creating unique and specialized affairs. Most recently she was a Design Associate
at Residential Design Concepts where she merchandised sales centers, maintained
budgets, prepared fi nancial summaries and coordinated the installation of models.
She brings her attention to detail and understanding of the importance that a Sales
Center plays in the home buying experience and process to her new role. Julia will
lead the coordination and planning of Grand Openings and sales centers, merchandising
of sales centers, and tracking marketing jobs.
Julia graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Hospitality
and Tourism Management.
Kristy Gibson
New Homes Marketing Manager
Kristy began her career six years ago in real estate marketing and sales for the
Virginian-Pilot. She was responsible for the overall marketing strategy and implementation
for clients in commercial and residential companies and developments. Kristy was
consistently awarded for her sales innovations and efforts and was nominated for
Sales Person of the Year for Major Accounts. Her team received the Hampton Roads
Realtors Association’s 2004 “Affi liate of the Year” award for the partnership and
service she made to HRRA.
Kristy’s experience is in managing numerous clients and her ability to develop,
plan and implement marketing concepts in an effective and timely manner for her
customers. She is highly focused on meeting the customer’s needs. As New Homes Marketing
Manager she helps develop creative marketing plans and works with the team to ensure
that client's campaigns are successful and run smoothly.
She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications with a concentration in Mass
Media from Old Dominion University.
Carol Daniels
Marketing Services Coordinator for Rose & Womble New Homes and Enterprises
Carol has been with the Marketing Department for 15 years, holding various positions
such as marketing coordinator, traffi c manager and production manager. She has
worked on numerous award-winning New Homes campaigns over the years, including Riverwalk,
Greystone and The Preserve.
Carol’s experience and knowledge of working in marketing enable her to maximize
the impact of our clients marketing and advertising campaigns through the use of
a wide range of media contacts in the business. Her knowledge of media and communication
platforms help to identify the most appropriate vehicle for building awareness of
a community.
In her position she helps plan and place all media buys, is the coordinator between
the marketing team and graphic designers, and manages the production process of
marketing jobs. She has an in-depth experience in all the “behind the scenes” details
that produce a successful marketing strategy and campaign.
Carol received her Liberal Arts Degree from Hofstra University in New York.
William C. Oliver, Jr.
New Homes Graphic Designer
Before joining the company Bill served in the United States Navy as an Illustrator
Draftsman, worked as a designer for PIP Printing and Kwik Kopy Printing. He has
also done freelance design for various companies and charitable organizations. With
30 years experience in graphic arts, design and printing, Bill brings a wealth of
knowledge to the table.
Bill is responsible for designing the creative marketing and advertising campaigns
for New Homes and Rose & Womble Enterprises builder and developer clients. Bill
makes sure all ad design, layout, and the production process is completed by the
appropriate deadline. He produces various media pieces ranging from business cards
to print ads to billboards on a daily basis. He is a skilled designer, technical
problem-solver and works with the New Homes and Enterprises account teams to understand
each community’s objectives and strategies.
Dianne Gordonn
New Homes Mixed Use Projects Manager
Dianne started her career in construction in Hawaii working for a military contractor
responsible for coordinating efforts with all departments on more than 7,000 homes.
For the past 5½ years she worked for ET Gresham Company, a local general contractor
specializing in limited-use, high quality construction as Assistant Project Manager.
At Gresham, Dianne directed the work of superintendents, subcontractors, vendors,
and labor on various construction projects.
Dianne brings her extensive knowledge of the construction process to our team. Her
role is to manage and coordinate efforts between the builder client, sales team,
and management team on urban and high-rise developments, where her construction
knowledge, marketing needs, and scheduled driven tasks are required to bring the
project to fruition.
She ensures that the project is on track and her detailed ability to coordinate
solicitations and prepared bid proposals for select source and open bid solicitations
is a key in choosing options for these new developments.
Dianne holds a Liberal Arts degree from the University of Hawaii.
Ron Wildermuth
New Homes Research Consultant
Ron brings over thirty years of experience in New Home Sales and Marketing and related
fi elds to Rose & Womble New Homes. Ron has personally been involved in the sale
of several hundred single family, town home and condominium residences and has won
numerous awards for excellence in sales. He has also advised more than 75 builders
regarding project feasibility, product design, pricing, features, and absorption
potential.
His experience comes from being a Sales Manager, Residential Loan Offi cer, Executive
Vice-President of a Building Company, Director of Sales and Marketing for both a
local and regional builder and most recently Director of Research for a New Home
Sales and Marketing company in Maryland.
Ron gathers data on competitors and analyzes their prices, sales and marketing methods
and compares them to our own. By identifying potential markets and factors that
may affect product demand, his research helps us plan and stay ahead of the marketplace.
Ron prepares Market Research Reports of his fi ndings, illustrating data into written
and graphic form for our customers.
Ron is a graduate of Michigan State University with a Degree in City and Regional
Planning.
Thomas "Butch" Boykin, CSP
New Homes Sales Manager
Butch is a former Site Manager, who specializes in agent training and contract review
and administration. He has over fourteen years of real estate experience. Butch
serves his industry on the Executive Board of the Peninsula Home Builders' Association
Sales and Marketing Council.
Bob Crawford
New Homes Lot Sales Manager
Bob brings to the Rose and Womble team a track-record as an effective leader with
a proven ability to create successful sales and marketing programs. Prior to his
arrival in Virginia, Bob was an Associate-Broker with one of the leading real estate
fi rms in the Midwest, as well as a Sales Director for Regency/Midland Homes, a
Giant 400 homebuilder in the U.S.
Early in his career, he trained under Mike Ferry, one of the top real estate trainers
in North America. Bob also has experience as the Sales and Marketing Director for
a leadership training organization in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Fran Dekrone
New Homes Administrative Manager
Fran joined Rose & Womble New Homes in 1993 as the administrative assistant to Van
Rose and for the past thirteen years coordinated the President’s daily activities
and provided support services for over 70 new homes sales associates. She brought
a wealth of new homes marketing experience with her. She was a sales associate for
several years and won awards in 1980 and 1981 for her outstanding sales efforts.
Fran also served as an assistant in a local builder’s offi ce for eight years.
Susan Mageras, MIRM
New Homes Sales Manager
Susan is a seasoned professional in new homes marketing efforts. She served as Vice
President of Operations for a local builder for fourteen years prior to accepting
the position of New Homes Sales Manager with Rose & Womble. Susan has experience
in managing sales associates, establishing new communties, marketing plans and budgets.
