Strickland Homes is a company that has been 30 years in the making. Scott Strickland is a seasoned homebuilder throughout the Tidewater area. Scott began his career in construction as a young man in carpentry, doing interior trim work in 1971. Scott, former owner of Commonwealth Custom Homes, has enjoyed 30 years of building beautiful homes. At his side is his son, Alan Strickland. Growing up in the business, Alan started his career in homebuilding by cleaning his dad’s job sites. As Alan got older he gained more responsibility in the company as he served as his dad’s right hand man. In 2010, Scott and Alan formed their own company, Strickland Homes; a company that could grow with them as they continue to build quality homes that are both gorgeous and increasingly environmentally sound.
