Rose & Womble Realty Company Raises Over $17,000 for Suffolk Tornado Victims
Virginia Beach, VA- - Rose & Womble Realty Company Personnel held a company-wide fundraiser for the Suffolk victims of the April 29, tornado. In just over 2 weeks, the firm raised a total of $17,663 to aid their neighbors in need. Funds collected were donated to the Hampton Roads REALTORS® Foundation, a tax-exempt, 501(C) (3) non-profit organization sponsored by the Hampton Roads REALTORS® Association (HRRA). The HRRA Foundation is a channel for the charitable and community service energies of the professional real estate industry. One hundred percent of the money collected will go toward aiding those afflicted.
This is just one way that Rose & Womble Realty Company is making a difference in our community. The firm’s community relations campaign, Rose & Womble CARES: Taking Action in our Community, was established in 2003. Since the campaign’s launch, Rose & Womble has given back to the Hampton Roads community by means of resources as well as time. Some of the organizations that have benefited from Rose & Womble’s efforts include Habitat for Humanity of Southampton Roads, the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of America, the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, The Salvation Army, and Children’s Resources of Hampton Roads.
Aside from managing its own workplace volunteer program, Rose & Womble is an active member of the Hampton Roads Corporate Volunteer Council, which is comprised of businesses throughout the area that support corporate social responsibility.
